Fast food does NOT make you FAT
Fast Food Does Not Make You Fat!
Fast food does NOT make you fat and I say that with no trepidation! Now you are probably wondering how fast food is not the reason why people in the world have become obese with excess amount of calories per serving, unlimited refills on drinks that contain an excess amount of sugar, foods that are either processed or fried, or both and have no nutritional value. I understand exactly how your thought process makes sense but I also see where the flaw in the thought stands and so the purpose of this blog is to divulge a new view that can help you in more than one aspect in life.
I am not saying that fast food is a nutrient dense diet, nor am I saying that eating it excessively will not cause obesity. The concept behind fast food not causing obesity is deeper than just fast food and relates to any aspect in life. It can be used to improve your business, your friendships, your health and whatever else you decide to implement it on. The concept: Take responsibility of your own actions. Taking responsibility will help you understand that it is a personal choice to become obese by eating fast food, can help you reverse your obesity and help lead a successful lifestyle.
Again, it is not fast food that makes people obese, it is the personal choice to eat fast food consistently. Saying fast food causes obesity is synonymous to saying teachers are the reason why students fail in school. If that was the case, why do students excel in the same class as the students who fail? Because it is a personal choice to go home and study the material until it is understood on top of completing the homework that was assigned consistently. It is also a personal choice not to study and fail. Think about it (Back to fast food), one has to leave their house, drive to a fast food place, then communicate their order to the employee before paying for the order. Who decided on this decision? Did the fast food place force you to eat at their place? If one commits to not eating at a fast food place how can the fast food restaurant cause obesity for one? They simply cannot. This is where learning to take responsibility of your own action kicks in.
Learning to take responsibility can help reverse obesity by making the proper choices that need to be made. There is a saying "Practice makes perfect,"which is slightly false and here is why. If you practice bad habits, you will get bad results and vice versa. So the saying should be "Practice makes permanent," equating to you becoming what you consistently do. In reference to obesity, developing a lifestyle change where one does not indulge in fast food, sugary snacks and or fried foods, even in slow increments can have a huge impact on ones health, especially when paired with a great strength training program. One of my favorite sayings is "Life changing results take life changing decisions and life changing actions." Making a decision to change your life starts within your mind, literally. Those who say "I can" or "I cant" are usually always right about themselves. Hence STRIVE does not encourage the words"I cant" at any point in time. There is also no perfect scenario or time to start. Start now!! Waiting does nothing but delay your results. Lets look at an example. There are two people, lets call them person A and person B, who want to achieve weight loss. Person A decides to start proper training and nutrition today and person B decides to start next month on the 1st. Lets assume both weigh 200lbs and are the same height. By the time Person B starts, Person A has lost a total of 8lbs in one month equalling out to 2lbs a week. Since Person B has been practicing bad habits for the past month, he has gained four pounds putting him at 204 right before he starts. Now that Person B has started he has lost 8lbs in his first month. Person A has continued his good habits and lost another 8lbs in his second month. This means Person A currently weighs 184, while Person B weighs 196lbs. Waiting just one month has cost Person B 12lbs trying to wait for the perfect time that will never come.
Imagine waking up one day looking in the mirror and being proud of yourself for the lifestyle change that you have created for yourself. Imagine being able to do the things you have always wanted to do, like being active, being able to run around with your kids without getting tired, or simply take a picture and feeling confident. This is all very able and there are people who have already done this for themselves! You can as well. Remember, life changing results take life changing decisions and life changing actions. Consistently.
